From Cashew
to Cashflow.

Cambodia's first agricultural digital trust & finance ecosystem. Digital identity, an agri-wallet on Bakong/KHQR rails, a commodity marketplace, blockchain traceability for EUDR, and an AI-driven rural credit score — starting with the US$1.5 billion cashew chain.

The Problem

A US$1.5B value chain with no digital backbone

Cambodia exported over 1.0M tonnes of raw cashew worth more than US$1.5 billion in 2025 (+27% YoY) — yet processed only 2.4% domestically and shipped roughly 90% of unprocessed nuts to Vietnam. Value, finance and data leak abroad every season because the chain still runs on cash, paper, and trust gaps.

🏦

Financial exclusion

Limited access to formal banking. No digital credit history. Reliance on informal lenders at high effective interest rates — even when the harvest is real.

📦

Supply-chain fragmentation

Cash transactions dominate. Few verifiable records. Tracing a batch from farm to export is nearly impossible — a growing compliance liability under EUDR (Dec 2026 / Jun 2027).

🤝

Lack of trust

Buyers cannot identify the producer. Exporters cannot prove origin. Banks and MFIs cannot underwrite farmers they cannot see. Trust gaps lock value out of the chain.

The Solution

One ecosystem · six integrated pillars

Every interaction creates four records at once — financial history, production history, market history, and a trust score. That compounding data layer is the platform's core competitive asset.

ID

CashEW ID

Digital identity & KYC for farmers, traders, cooperatives, processors. Farm registration and verifiable profiles that anchor every other module.

Identity · KYC

CashEW Wallet

Agriculture-focused wallet on Bakong/KHQR rails — payments, transfers, digital receipts, balances and group payments. Like ABA or Wing, but built for the farm economy.

Payments · KHQR

CashEW Trade

Digital marketplace connecting farmers, cooperatives, processors and exporters. Listings, buy/sell offers, price discovery and digital contracts.

Marketplace

CashEW Trace

Blockchain-enabled traceability: farm → batch → warehouse → processor → export. Built for EUDR, organic, Fair Trade and ESG reporting on DCx's enterprise blockchain stack.

Traceability · EUDR

CashEW Credit

AI-driven rural credit profile — the CashEW Score. Instead of "Do you have collateral?", we ask "What does your farming history show?". Underwriting that finally fits the farm.

Credit · AI Score

CashEW Savings

Goal-based and seasonal savings (post-harvest, education, farm investment) that smooth income between harvests and deepen engagement with the wallet.

See it in action

One app · the whole farm economy.

From the farmer's pocket: a real balance in KHR or USD, instant payments through KHQR, every harvest sale logged with farm and batch ID, group payouts to the cooperative — and a marketplace where processors place orders directly.

The same screen that shows a $1,250 balance records the $850 from the buyer, the $400 payout to the cooperative, and the $250 marketplace order — four events stitched into one compounding history that becomes the CashEW Score.

01 E-Wallet & payments. Bakong/KHQR rails. Send, receive, scan, history.
02 Traceability & trust. Every transaction carries a farm + batch identity.
03 Marketplace & trade. Buy / sell offers, price discovery, digital contracts.
04 Credit & finance. The CashEW Score turns history into underwriting.
05 Insights & analytics. Cooperatives and exporters see the chain at a glance.
The Unfair Advantage

The ecosystem is already built

CashEW is the monetization layer atop an established stack of organizations the founding team already operates or is closely tied to. Distribution, trust, technology and data are in place — no cold start.

Technology & Data Backbone

DCx — DataColabX

Cambodia's homegrown data-science, digital-transformation and blockchain firm (roots in DC Research, est. 2007). Partners include ADB, World Bank, and the EU. Brings blockchain traceability, digital identity, MIS and national survey systems.

Community Trust & Research

ADIC — Analyzing Development Issues Centre

Cambodian development agency (reg. 2011). Grassroots research, M&E and participatory action research. Credibility with farmers, cooperatives and ministries; impact measurement.

Warm Farmer Distribution

CSLICP — WB / JSDF-funded

Cambodia Sustainable Livelihood for Indigenous Communities Project, implemented by ADIC across 20 communities. Existing farmer-producer base and input-supplier relationships — a warm distribution channel.

Producer & Input Front Door

Farms Nexus

Early-stage startup aggregating farmer producers and fertilizer/farm-input suppliers, building on the CSLICP community base. Seeds demand for the wallet, marketplace and traceability.

Net effect: CashEW launches with warm distribution, institutional trust, a proven technology stack, and a built-in data advantage — eliminating the cold-start problem that kills most agri-fintech ventures.
Market Opportunity

The cashew beachhead — large, fast-growing, leaking

Cashew is an ideal first market: large, fast-growing, export-oriented, concentrated in a handful of provinces, and acutely exposed to both finance and traceability gaps.

Where the 580,117 hectares actually grow

The chain we're digitising has a footprint. 23 provinces, dominated by the northeast. The top five provinces alone — Kampong Thom, Kratie, Ratanakiri, Kampong Cham and Stung Treng — account for roughly 75% of national cashew area. This concentration is what makes the cashew pilot possible: focus the rails where the harvest is.

From Farm to Market

The chain we're putting on rails.

Every stage of the cashew chain creates information — yields, batches, prices, buyer relationships. Today most of that data lives on paper or in traders' memories. CashEW digitizes each stage: digital receipts, batch IDs, settlement and provenance — all the way from the farm to the port.

Business Model

Four layered streams on the same activity

Early revenue comes from subscriptions and ESG/compliance services. Transaction fees and financial-services revenue share become the dominant engines as GMV and the credit book grow.

Stream 01

Transaction Fees

0.2 – 1% of GMV. Commodity trades, procurement payments, settlements moving across the platform.

Stream 02

SaaS Subscriptions

Tiered monthly/annual. Processors, cooperatives, exporters: traceability, inventory, procurement and analytics modules.

Stream 03

Financial Services

Revenue share with banks, MFIs, insurers. CashEW supplies origination + scoring; partners hold the balance sheet.

Stream 04

ESG & Data

Per-report or subscription. EUDR compliance, carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, market intelligence.

Go-to-Market

Cashew first — then commodity by commodity, border by border

Prove the model on cashew in a focused pilot, formalize and scale nationally, then expand by commodity and geography. Each phase de-risks the next and is matched to a funding round.
